Return & Refund Policy
At Household Machinery, we stand behind the quality of the commercial and industrial equipment we supply. We understand that purchasing machinery is a major investment, and we want you to be completely satisfied with your order. If you need to return an item, please review our policy below.
1. Standard Return Window
30-Day Policy: Unused machinery and eligible equipment may be returned within [30 days] from the date of delivery.
Return Authorization Required: All returns require prior authorization. Items returned without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will not be accepted.
2. Return Eligibility & Condition
To qualify for a standard return, items must meet the following criteria:
Original Condition: The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in the same brand-new condition as received.
Original Packaging: Equipment must be returned in its original crate, box, or protective packaging with all tags, labels, and protective films intact.
Complete Hardware & Documentation: All user manuals, wiring diagrams, accessories, mounting hardware, and spare parts must be included.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned unless they arrive defective or damaged:
Custom-built or specially modified machinery
Hazardous materials, lubricants, or fluids once unsealed
Electrical wear parts or consumables that have been opened or tested
Clearance, final-sale, or "as-is" items
3. Restocking Fees & Shipping Costs
Restocking Fee: Returns for reasons other than shipping damage or seller error (e.g., buyer's remorse, ordered wrong specifications) are subject to a [15% to 20%] restocking fee to cover inspection, re-packaging, and processing.
Return Freight: The buyer is responsible for all return shipping or freight costs unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defective item.
4. Damaged or Defective Deliveries (Freight Shipments)
Industrial equipment requires careful inspection upon arrival. Please inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery.
Visible Freight Damage: If the box, crate, or pallet shows visible damage, you must note "Damaged Equipment" on the delivery driver’s Freight Bill / Delivery Receipt before signing.
Hidden / Concealed Damage: If you discover internal damage after unboxing, contact our support team within [48 hours] of delivery.
Photos Required: Please take clear photos of the damaged packaging, the equipment's serial plate, and the damaged component to speed up claims and replacement shipments.
5. How to Initiate a Return
1.Request an RMA Number:Step 1.
Email our support team at [Insert Support Email] with your Order Number, photos of the item/packaging, and the reason for the return.
2.Receive Return Instructions:Step 2.
Once approved, our team will issue an RMA Number along with the designated return shipping address or freight drop-off details.
3.Pack & Ship:Step 3.
Securely re-crate or re-box the equipment. Clearly mark the RMA Number on the outside of the package and ship it using a trackable carrier.
4.Inspection & Refund:Step 4.
Our warehouse technicians will inspect the returned item within [3 to 5 business days] of arrival. Once verified, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
Refund Processing: Once approved, refunds are credited back to your original payment method within [5 to 7 business days], minus any applicable restocking fees or freight adjustments.
Order Cancellations: You may cancel an order free of charge prior to dispatch. If the shipment has already left our warehouse or freight terminal, standard return shipping fees and restocking rules will apply.
